Acts 1:6-14

This is the end of the season of Easter. Acts 1:3 tells us that this event of Jesus ascending to heaven took place 40 days after the event of Easter. The number 40 is used repeatedly, going back to the rain that fell for the flood. It usually comes with some sort of test of physical and/or spiritual nature. But, don't try to use it to do any kind of math of when the end times might be! You're given instruction here that it's not for you to know. Of course that hasn't stopped a few thousand people from trying.
