Acts 4:5-12

Peter repeats from a line from Psalm 118. The Messiah is the cornerstone that the church is built upon. Just as important is that the stone is rejected. The builders are the rulers, the ones who Jesus spoke against, the ones who have corrupted the law. It is fulfillment of the prophecy for them to reject the Messiah.

John 10:11-18

The Jesus of the book of John is very different from the one we have been following in Mark for the last few months, and will continue through this summer. He knows why he's here and lets people know in plain language. I don't find much need for interpretation here, just the standard theology.
